Curtain Arts exists to remove that risk. Our fitters work to measured drawings, fix into the correct substrate every time, and level every track and pole before a single panel goes up.

You can order curtains with installation included from our own atelier, or hire us to install curtains you have already bought. The standard does not change either way.

What Does a Curtain Installation Service Include?

A professional curtain installation service covers on-site measuring, hardware specification, secure fixing of the track or pole, hanging and dressing of the panels, and a final operation check. Curtain Arts includes all five stages in every installation, along with removal of your old curtains and hardware.

In-home measuring.

We measure every window and check ceiling height, recess depth and wall construction, then record stacking space so panels clear the glass when open.

Hardware specification.

We match the track, pole or motorised system to the weight of your fabric and the finish of your ceiling or wall.

Structural fixing.

Fixings are chosen for the substrate, whether concrete, block, gypsum partition or timber. Heavy interlined drapes get real support, not standard wall plugs.

Hanging and dressing.

Panels are hung, hem lengths checked against the floor, and pleats hand-dressed and tied so the curtains train into an even fall.

Testing and handover.

Every track is run through its full travel, motors and cords are tested, and the area is cleaned before we leave.

What does a curtain installation service include?

It includes measuring your windows, specifying and supplying the right track or pole, fixing the hardware securely into the wall or ceiling, hanging and dressing the panels, and testing the full operation. Curtain Arts also removes and disposes of your old curtains and hardware.

Can I hire someone to install curtains I bought elsewhere?

Yes. We install curtains purchased from any retailer. Our fitter will check that the heading style, width and drop suit your windows, recommend the right track or pole, and complete the installation. If the panels need altering to fit, we can handle that in our workshop.

How long does curtain installation take?

A single window usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. A full apartment is typically completed in one visit of two to four hours. A large villa with 25 or more windows generally takes one to two days. We confirm the schedule when we quote.

Is it better to buy curtains with installation included?

Usually, yes. When one company measures, makes and installs, the drop, heading and hardware are specified together, and there is no dispute about who is responsible if something does not fit. It is also normally cheaper than paying separately for fabrication and fitting.

Do you install motorised and smart curtains?

Yes. We install motorized tracks and app or voice-controlled systems. We advise on power supply and cable routing during the measuring visit, which is far easier to plan before installation than after.

Can you install curtains on arched, bay or double-height windows?

Yes. These windows need bent track, custom brackets or specialist access equipment, all of which we specify at the measuring stage so the installation runs in a single visit.

Do you charge to remove old curtains and rods?

Removal and disposal is included when you book a new installation. Removal on its own can be quoted separately.

Do I need to be home during installation?

Someone over 18 should be present to give access and approve the final positioning, particularly for track height, which is difficult to change once fixed.
