What Does a Curtain Cleaning Service Include?
A complete curtain deep cleaning service covers inspection, careful take-down, fabric-matched cleaning, treatment of stains and odours, pressing, and a rehang that restores the original fold. Curtain Arts includes every one of those stages.

Inspection and fabric check.
We identify the fabric, lining and heading type before anything is touched, and we test for colour fastness. If a curtain is not safe to clean, we tell you before we take it down, not after.

Careful take-down.
Our fitters remove the panels, unhook the tape and record the exact position of every panel so nothing is guessed at on the way back. Hardware stays on the wall, undisturbed.

Deep cleaning.
Each fabric gets the correct process. Delicate sheers and chiffon are handled gently, heavy linens and velvets are treated for embedded dust, and blackout linings are cleaned without stripping the coating that makes them work.

Stain and odour treatment.
Sun-baked marks, kitchen residue, humidity odours and dust lines along the hem are treated individually rather than left to a single wash cycle.

Pressing and finishing.
Panels are pressed and steamed so the heading sits flat and the pleats return to their original depth before they leave our facility.

Rehang and re-dressing.
We hang the curtains back on your existing track, level the hem, and dress every fold by hand. You get the finish of a fresh installation, not a bag of clean fabric left at the door.

Sheers and chiffon.
Standard drops, double tracks for sheer and blackout layering, and fixings that work in gypsum partitions and concrete slabs alike. Most apartments are completed in a single visit.

Blackout and lined curtains.
Blackout curtains carry a coated lining that ordinary washing degrades. Cleaned incorrectly, they lose their light-blocking performance and start to crack along the folds. We clean them in a way that protects the coating.

Why we clean off-site rather than on site.
Some companies offer on site curtain cleaning with the panels left hanging on the track. It is faster, but it cannot reach embedded dust, it leaves moisture in a room already dealing with humidity, and it risks water marks on walls, floors and furniture. Curtain Arts cleans off-site only, in a controlled facility, then rehangs and re-dresses the curtains for you. It takes 3 to 4 days and the result is a genuine deep clean rather than a surface refresh.

How much does curtain cleaning cost?
Curtain cleaning starts from AED 200 per piece. That is a starting price. The final quote depends on fabric, panel size and the condition of the curtains, and we confirm it in writing before we collect anything. Take-down and rehang are handled by our own team.
Do you offer on site curtain cleaning?
No. We clean off-site only. On-site cleaning cannot reach dust embedded deep in the weave, and it introduces moisture into the room. We collect your curtains, clean them properly in our facility, and rehang and re-dress them within 3 to 4 days.
How long does curtain cleaning take?
Three to four days from collection to rehang. We agree the rehang date with you before we take the curtains down, so you know exactly how long the windows will be bare.
What is the best way to clean curtains at home?
Vacuum them regularly with an upholstery attachment, working top to bottom, and air them where possible. Avoid washing lined, blackout, velvet or silk curtains in a domestic machine, because the lining and the outer fabric shrink at different rates and the panel will never hang the same way again. Anything full-height or lined is worth handing to a professional.
How often should curtains be cleaned?
Once a year for most homes, and every six months for kitchens, ground-floor villas, homes near construction and anywhere the windows are opened often. Dust levels in this climate are significantly higher than in most parts of the world.
Will cleaning damage my blackout lining?
Not when it is done correctly. Blackout linings carry a coating that heat and agitation can crack, which is exactly what happens in a domestic machine. We identify the lining type first and use a process that leaves the coating intact and the light-blocking performance unchanged.
