Curtain track and rail repair, re-levelling and re-fixing / Curtain rod, pole and bracket replacement / Glider, hook, runner and curtain fixings replacement / Motorized curtain system diagnosis and repair

A curtain almost never fails on its own. What fails is the thing holding it up. A bracket that went into hollow plasterboard instead of a stud. A track rated for a sheer carrying a lined blackout. Gliders that cracked in the heat. A rail that was never levelled, so the panel has been dragging on one side since the day it went up.

Curtain fixing is diagnostic work before it is repair work. Rehanging a curtain on the same failed bracket buys you a few weeks. Our fitters find out why it moved, correct the underlying fault, and then rehang.

We carry a full range of curtain fixings, from gliders, hooks and runners through to brackets, end caps and cording, so most repairs are finished in a single visit rather than turning into a wait for parts.

// What's included

What Does a Curtain Fixing Service Include?

Intro: A proper curtain fixing service covers inspection of the hardware and the wall behind it, identification of the real cause, replacement of the failed components, secure re-fixing into the correct substrate, and a full rehang and re-dress. Curtain Arts includes every stage in the call-out.

/01

On-site inspection.

We look at the track or pole, the brackets, the heading tape and the wall or ceiling they are fixed into. Most call-outs come down to one of four things: wrong anchor, wrong track weight rating, worn curtain fixings, or a rail that was never level.

/02

Diagnosis and written price.

You get the cause explained in plain terms and the cost confirmed before any tools come out. No work starts until you have agreed the price.

/03

Structural fixing.

Cracked gliders, snapped hooks, seized runners, bent rails, loose finials and stripped brackets are replaced with the correct part rather than the nearest one available.

/04

Secure re-fixing.

Where a bracket has torn out, the original fixing was usually wrong for the substrate. We re-fix into concrete, timber or a suitable anchor for plasterboard, and reposition brackets where the spacing was carrying too much weight per point.

/05

Re-levelling.

The track or pole is levelled before the curtains go back up, which is what stops the hem drifting across the window and the panels stacking unevenly.

/06

Rehang and re-dress.

Panels are rehung, the hem is checked against the floor, and every fold is dressed by hand. We open and close the curtains in front of you before we leave.

Common Curtain Problems We Fix

01

Tracks and rails that have dropped or come loose.

A rail pulling away from the wall or ceiling is almost always a fixing failure rather than a rail failure. Curtain track repair means correcting the anchor and the bracket spacing, not simply pushing the rail back and adding another screw into the same tired hole.

02

Curtains that catch, stick or will not close.

Curtains that fight you mid-travel usually have worn gliders, a bent section of rail, a bracket sitting proud of the track line or cording that has stretched. Each has a different fix, and each takes minutes once correctly identified.

03

Uneven hanging, sagging headings and worn fixings.

Hems that sit crooked, panels that gape at the top, hooks that have torn through the tape. These are heading and curtain fixings problems, and they are worth correcting early because a heading that is failing puts stress on expensive fabric every time the curtain moves.

Benefits You Get From a Professional Curtain Repair

The reason people search for someone to fix their curtains rather than doing it themselves is rarely the difficulty of the job. It is that the same fault keeps coming back. A professional repair addresses the cause, so you are not back on the ladder in a month.

Residential

Fixed once

properly.

We correct the substrate, the anchor and the bracket spacing together. A repair that only replaces the visible broken part tends to fail again in the same place.

Residential

Right parts

first visit.

Our vans carry the curtain fixings, brackets and track components needed for the great majority of repairs, so most jobs are completed on the day rather than left half-done pending an order.

Residential

Your fabric

protected.

Dragging rails, failed gliders and torn heading tape all damage the curtain itself. Repairing the hardware early is far cheaper than replacing a set of made-to-measure panels.

Why Homeowners

Choose Curtain Arts

Finding someone to fix curtains usually means calling a general handyman who will rehang what is in front of him and leave. Curtain Arts installs curtains as its core business, so the person arriving at your door already knows why that track failed and what it needs instead.

Residential
Residential

Fitters

not handymen.

The same in-house team that installs full villas handles the repairs. They know track weight ratings, heading types and stacking, which is what separates a fix from a temporary rehang.

Residential

Honest

assessment

If a track is beyond economic repair, we say so and quote for replacement rather than charging for a repair that will not hold. If a repair is simple, we tell you that too.

Residential

Clear pricing.

Curtain fixing call-outs start from AED 250. That is a starting price, confirmed in writing on site once we have seen the problem, and no work begins until you have approved it.

FAQs

How much does a curtain fixing service cost?
Call-outs start from AED 250. That covers attendance, diagnosis and a written price for the repair. Final cost depends on what has failed and which parts are needed, and nothing proceeds until you have approved the quote. (Choose one: “The call-out charge is deducted from the final repair bill if you go ahead.” OR “The call-out charge is separate from the cost of the repair itself.”)
Yes. We repair curtain tracks, rails, poles and motorised systems regardless of who fitted them or where the hardware came from. If the original installation used the wrong anchor or an underrated track, we will tell you plainly and give you both the repair and the replacement option.
Almost always. A bracket tearing out means the fixing was wrong for the wall, usually a plug in hollow plasterboard where the load needed a proper anchor or a fixing into solid material. We repair the wall, re-fix correctly and often reposition brackets so the weight is spread across more points.
Yes. Gliders, runners, hooks, end stops, brackets, finials and cording are all carried on the van, so worn or broken curtain fixings are usually replaced in the same visit.
Yes. We diagnose motorised curtain faults including motors that stall, remotes and apps that lose pairing, and tracks that have gone out of alignment. If a component needs replacing we confirm the part and price before ordering.
Most repair call-outs are scheduled within a few working days, and simple faults such as gliders, hooks and loose brackets are typically resolved in a single visit.
